We had an amazing weekend at Mt. Timothy, coming all the way from Prince George and Kelowna to celebrate a 30th birthday! We had the pleasure of meeting the caretaker and his dog, Wyatt. They were both incredibly friendly and spent time chatting with us every evening. Lift ticket and rental prices were reasonable, which was a pleasant surprise.
The only complaint my kids had was that the T-Bar wasn’t open, so they had to walk a lot to access runs on the right side of the mountain. On the bright side, every morning we woke up to lively music playing at the lodge, which really set a great tone for the day. The overall atmosphere was fantastic!
We had a few snowmobiles break down during our trip, but the staff was quick to help—they were genuinely determined to get us back on the trails. Despite spending a couple of hours trying to fix them, they weren’t able to get them running, but we really appreciated their effort.
16 of us stayed in the Paradise Cabin (both sides), but I have to mention that the website was a bit confusing. It claimed the cabin comfortably slept 16, but that wasn’t the case. We were pretty cramped, and I would say it would comfortably accommodate a maximum of 10 people.
Despite this, we had a wonderful trip and will definitely return!

My husband and I took our 2 dogs and quad for a weekend adventure at Mt. Timothy. We rented the Chilcotin cabin and it was very clean, cozy, updated, and had all the amenities that you could ask for to make any trip go smoothly :) The restaurant and outdoor amenities at the lodge were clean and updated with a good selection to choose from.
We were able to ride our quad to the top of the mountain where we were greeted with the most spectacular views both during the day and evening. We also got to take an adventure down the Goldrush Trail that will take you all the way to Likely, B.C which looks like it would be an amazing trip as long as you are equipped and travelling in a group.
I would highly recommend Mt. Timothy whether you are looking for a quiet getaway or wanting to get together with friends and family for a social gathering, this place has so much to offer for any adventurer or person looking to hide away.
Can't wait to get back there!!!!

What an absolute gem, in a province with so many great choices to ski. We stayed in one of the new cabins that isn't slope side...it's literally on the run. Very compact, functional and a nice spot to chill while leaving the outside world, outside (No cell or internet). The skiing was great, even though the snow base was under 100cm. The grooming is outstanding and skiing Thursday & Friday we had the mountain almost to ourselves. If you can hit Thursday after an early week powder dump it would be EPIC! The one fixed grip chair provides a lot of great terrain and two different boot hikes adds even more. Food was very good and the staff were all so welcoming and glad we could enjoy their little piece of skiing paradise. Look forward to leaving my big resort again and enjoying skiing the way it use to be!

Had a great time all day today at Mount Timothy. My husband and I needed some help with our bindings and thanks to the super friendly pro-shop guys, my husband and I were able to get out on the ski hill super quick. They even taught us some things about our skis that we didn't know :) My husband is just learning to ski and the runs were the perfect length. There was plenty of powder so I could have fun too! This is a great hill that just keeps getting better and better.

Great ski hill for younger kids. The runs aren't too long, they have a triple chair to access the main mountain and a magic carpet on the bunny hill. Prices are very reasonable compared to the big hills.
We visit 4-6 times every season!

Once you get to Timothy you will not regret it! This little ski hill has a lot to offer. Full day and half day passes, rentals, restaurant.....just like the big guys...just smaller! You will likely never wait in line for the triple chair ride up the hill. Snow conditions are usually groomed and there is ample opportunity to ski green, blue and black. I ski the intermediate slopes personally and enjoy them immensely. The only thing missing is lodging, but you can stay in some of the resorts on the way up Timothy lake road, or in Lac la Hache, 100 mile house or Williams lake. Loads of fun, inexpensive, and usually great snow conditions. Check it out.

Always enjoy this little Gem, Nice lodge and friendly staff and patrons. The hill is alot of fun for the whole family. The food service counter this year (2015/16) was not great and over priced and wrong variety of food for the main crowd (teens and kids) The road getting up to the hill was a bit rough somedays this past winter , but we always made it ! Love this local Gem. See you next winter :)

Awesome little mountain half an hour from the highway. Reasonably priced, has a beautiful log lodge to hang out in with fire places, Food, Washrooms, Rentals, Lessons, Ski patrol, 1x Lift, 1x T-Bar, Terrain park (sometimes), Bunny hill for beginners..... Its great for beginners, but at the same time there are hidden pockets of pow to be found, some short tree runs & glades for the more adventurous people too. Worth a drive just for the view & lunch, you might even see a Moose or a Bob cat on the way up?

I think it's important to be honest when talking about Mt Timothy. Its a SMALL mountain (hill) and the lift (1) is SLOW (12 minutes-ish) but...the runs are nice, and there are enough runs to have some fun and really practice some technique on some groomed runs, or to ski with your kids or beginner friends on some friendly terrain. If the snow is good, then Mt Timothy is a nice little hill, good value hire and lift pass, a diner style cafeteria thats pretty homely, and a beautiful view. If you find yourself in The Cariboo, head to Mt Timothy for a day - but don't expect a 5 star resort!
