Nice castle in a beautiful surrounding of hills. I did not visit the interior, but it looked promising. The nearby town Nümbrecht is worth the visit too.

Very nice renovated. But it would be great if they would have the informations about what you see in English. I've never been to a museum where you couldn't get informations in English before. Very disappointing to see everything but not learning about the history.

One of castle that open all year long. The first time I dropped by in the evening, after 4 pm. and didn't check about the closing time so only walked around out side. Later we planned to visit inside and it's worth our time. We walk through every floor and every rooms. I like the way to the top that you could see the nature area around from the top. The huge dining room on the ground floor is also impressive. I feel like I was in one of the Game of Throne scene.

We spent 2 hours taking in all the history of the castle and it's artifacts. Everything is very well laid out and we definately recommend using the portable recording device for the tour. The grounds are well kept and the building is very interesting...especially the enormous fireplace in the kitchen! The castle gives a very good overview of history without a lot of detail.

It`s more like a citadel than a castle, but 4 hours of visit left us fully impressed by the building and all the exhibits and temporary shows. It`s something for everybody there, let alone the view from the tower from where you can sea the ``rotmilan`` - a local species of hawk.

Castle is close to town but is under renovations. It was not open during our visit but you can walk around the grounds. Will be very nice when completed.
