Fun and interesting museum about the world famous Grimm Brothers and their fairytales. While the museum is in German there is an English App and printout that are provided at the ticket desk. Entrance includes entrance into the Steinau Museum as well. The architecture of...More

The museum is in the house where the Grimm family lived while they were in Steinau. That in itself is cool. Downstairs you see the kitchen and some furnishings, which is a nod to that era. Half of the downstairs talks about the family history....More

We found the museum expensive for what it was. Also everything was in German with no other way to interpret what you were looking at. Disappointing.

Photo taken is not allowed!! There are the lockers at front to keep your camera and stuffs. I enjoyed this museum. The ticket can enter the Steinau museum which is opposite the Brother Grimms' house.

This museum is the house where the brothers Grimm spent five years of their childhood. The museum is divided in two areas: the ground floor is dedicated to life and the first floor to the fairy tales. I learnt a lot, especially regarding the other...More

It's a nicely complex exhibition about the Grimm Brothers, with quite some interactive sections; for example, visitors can listen into various Grimm fairy tales with the headset funnily embedded in a textile crown, implying that the visitor is the Frog Prince. The exhibition is very...More
