On holiday in Senigallia, we discovered this initiative by chance and decided to book the guided tour of the village.
It is a nice initiative, free of charge, to get to know this village and its history.
The guide was very passionate, if we have to find a flaw, sometimes he explained while walking and those further back couldn't hear.
The ending was beautiful with the show of the flag-wavers.

We've been here a few times and keep coming back.
The people, the food, the wine, the artisan beer, the culture, the history.... out of this world!!
On second thoughts I should be saying how horrid it is so that other people don't go and spoil it!! Please don't spoil it!

These are some of the best preserved walls in Italy. Do I need to say more? You can walk the entire perimeter of the town, less than 1 Km, and admire perfectly preserved walls, with its towers and bricks. It's all very authentic, like stepping into a Medieval or Renaissance town.

Must be one of the prettiest hilltowns in le marche. The city walls are really asthonishing. Best do this not in the heat of the noon in summer.

Idd you visit Le Marche, then don't miss this village if you like cute old towns. Together with Mondavio it was the most beautiful little village we found in the area. Very special

Splendidly conserved little town, where you can find nice restaurants at the walled paese. Also wandering around is advised. If you are lucky...try to see a marriage from the terrace just opposite the church

The narrow streets with characteristic brick houses and the charming alleys of the historic village are surrounded for almost a kilometer by mighty walls (14th-15th centuries) that preserve three fortified gates, ramparts, mighty towers, patrol walkways, sinkholes and loopholes.

At the direction of the Tourist Information Office si Senigallia we went to visit the Walls of Corinaldo. The experience was really interesting as we got to participate in an initiative they organize on Wednesday evening. A very prepared and motivated Guide accompanied us through the streets of the town, illustrating the history of the walls and the transformation over the centuries of this beautiful village on the hills of Marche. The visit was also enlivened by several performances of the flag-wavers of one of the two districts into which the country divides. Bellissimo!!
