In the mornings from late July onwards into October, this is a wonderful location for a seawatch and also to observe large numbers of migrating birds. On my last visit there on Sept. 26, I counted 850 blue jays leaving the island. There were hoards of other migrants also. Expansive views are nice but Lighthouse isn’t the most photogenic. Road turn to pot holed dirt 1/2 way there.

The Northern Lighthouse is a very short drive from the ferry landing. It is wonderful spot to see the Bay of Fundy or just sit and relax. From this spot you can hike to West Lighthouse.

This is a great location - a wonderful hiking trail all along the ocean and a great place to see the sunset - The trail is good under foot and has lots of wild flowers growing along the pathway. Such a great stress free place - I recommend this lighthouse and a good walk.

We stopped here on our way to the seal colony. What a beautiful area. Because it was a foggy day, we had a double treat with the lighthouse shining and the fog horn going off. When we hiked to the seal colony, we were able to hear the fog horn from the West Lighthouse as well. Great to be able to compare and hear the differences. The Coast Guard workers were great and very friendly. Another bonus was finding a sea urchin "shell" while hiking.…
