This place is a renovated after the migration of the Sibu Municipal Council (SMC) office place and named Sibu Heritage Centre. Not much attraction except a place to take photos and some food. There is a small shopping place beside there which you can find cheap daily needs such as food , toothbrushes, clothings etc.

As a past Sibu resident returning to visit with my partner, I have found the Sibu Heritage Centre to be a wonderful little gem. It highlights the history of the town and has a display from the different tribes/races that make up Sibu. It may surprise some that Sarawak has some 27 different ethnic groups! There is also a selection... More

Me to taxi driver from the airport, "So what's there to see in Sibu?" Taxi driver, "Nothing! Nothing! I tell you honestly!" Great. Well, the Heritage Centre is something. It's modest, in an interesting building and it provides what many towns and cities can use - historical information about the place and its people. Must drop by if you visit... More

Its bigger than i've expected. Definately its not grand or having lots of exhibition, but the information are sufficient. Allow the travellers to have a brief idea of Sibu,ie aboriginals, immigrants from the past, and culture that they share. I spent a good 1hr there. Free admission.

Stumbled on to this place by accident. Not much publicity obviously. It is situated in a polygonal building near the SMC carpark. Initially thought there was nothing much except for a food court on the ground floor. There was a small sign near the stairs indicating an exhibition area on the 1st floor. Got up there and lo behold there... More

There is only one market selling sourveniour, but you can find a lot of stuff here. Kain batik, decoration, keychain, and many culture stuff in reasonable price. Just visit for half to 1hour, quite worth it. Thanks
