Walking through a partially restored German WWII compound was both spooky and fascinating. This place gives you a very real sense of what it must have been like to be stationed in Denmark during the war. The museum also has guns and armaments from the war and very detailed explanations of their different uses. I'm going back this year.

This museum gives you an excellent insight into how a large cannon battery was operated, and how its crew worked and lived.

The museum is set in the actual location of one of the four gun emplacements that the Germans built to protect the coast off the NW part of Denmark. Most of the museum has English sections to the information and where not we were given a book with full English translations. For an extra DKK 25 you can take a... More

Very interesting exhibition and you can see the bunkers in great condition. However, the museum part is mostly in Danish and German. Everything in the bunker is in English too. The train ride was cool, but I'd rather recommend taking a walk around the area - it's free and you can see even more.

Interesting museum for those interested in war history. The trip with the train was not so exciting and can be skipped. .

We visited what we consider the "Hanstholm Bunker Museum" on 4July 2016 and how lucky we were! It turned out that for two days, on 3rd and 4th of July, there were dozens of reenactors dressed in Danish, German, American & British uniforms along with numerous military vehicles, equipment, and other mementos of the WW2 era. We got to talk... More

The whole complex is stunning...the cannons, the bunkers, the railway preserved in such a manner that you feel just like you were there, in the middle of the action...

Museum build up in one of the old bunkers from 2nd world war. Quite interesting exhibition about life as German soldier in Denmark during the war. Part of the museum is also featured in the movie "Olesenbanden i jylland".

We visited the museum (inside the bunker and outside) and were pleased with the setup of the entire museum. We have visited other parts of the Atlantik Wall (france and belgium) so it isn't our first. Our childeren (9 and 7) were also intreged with everything they saw. The museum and bunker inside is well documented with information boards in... More

Interested in WW2. Visit the old German bunker and learn about the conditions for the German soldiers during the war.
