The Visconti Bridge of Valeggio sul Mincio is a fortress bridge built at the end of the fourteenth century and connected to the other walls and the Scaliger Castle, which had mostly defensive purposes. What you see today are imposing and suggestive ruins. Probably the best view on this bridge and the remains of its fortresses is from Borghetto.

nice stone bridge fortifications over the Mincio and over borgetto ( a quaint old village) just under a beautiful castle.

I was told by the tour company that I would be shown a hidden secret on my travels, This township is it. I would have loved to have had more time there to explore the area further. The old castle, the waterwheels that used to power the mills, the beautiful river and weir. I can't say enough good things about a stunning township that has ample accommodation and eateries. I'd go back there tomorrow.

This is a bridge rebuilt in the 1600s I think on top of an existing Roman bridge. Unfortunately it is in a poor state of repair, and has large supporting ironwork which makes photography a bit difficult. The view from the portholes on the Borghetto side are brilliant though, hence worth the 10 minute detour to see them.

It deserves a photo because it is really suggestive, with the view of the village of Borghetto that is really a gem. It's a dam bridge also called the Long Bridge.

Upon returning from holidays in the mountains, we head for this little village seen many times on TV ... very beautiful and characteristic with its old mills nestled on the waters of the Mincio ... very photogenic and popular ...

Small but cute hamlet with charm. The mills could be better looked after.
The center of Valeggio sul Mincio did not excite me, quite dirty and poorly cared for

We were in Verona for our anniversary and we decided to visit Borghetto sul Mincio to visit a place where we had never been and taste the famous tortelli knots of love, we bought them at the artisan pasta factory to take them home and have them taste our children... they are too good, you can feel that they are handmade with quality products, I highly recommend them
