I'm sorry to have to disagree with the overwhelming tide of positive reviews here - I fully appreciate the merit of the battle of Britain Memorial flight but as a place to visit, it's awful. There's nothing in it for children - nothing interactive and nothing you can touch. What you actually get is a look inside the repair workshop,... More

My wife Deana is recovering from a serious and is now enjoying short visits to Tea Rooms. Not exactly a tea room, more of a 1940s cafe, but nevertheless one I knew she would enjoy. The tea cake was delicious as was the large cup of Stokes coffee ( probably the best liked coffee in Lincolnshire. ) As we sat... More

Great place to visit if you're mad on planes, especially Spitfires. Their star attraction is the Lancaster but if thats not there then you will get 10% discount on tickets.

This is an escorted tour run by retired RAF personnel. The guide gave us a most interesting tour pointing out various Spitfires and Hurricanes .Unfortunately, the Lancaster was at Duxford for it's annual refit. However we were treated to a test flight by one of the Hurricanes. This is a worthwhile place to visit in view of the efforts of... More

If you are interested in aviation and history then this is an amazing visit that you must not miss. Most of the aircraft were in various states of service but how often can you get this close to historic aircraft that are so special to any Britain. It is lovely to see them being maintained and cherished and it is... More

Thoroughly enjoyed our visit today, Kevin our guide really made the experience memorable. His knowledge was extensive and provided a wealth of information being an ex RAF Pilot himself. Would have no hesitation recommending a visit to RAF Coningsby for anyone interested in WW2 aircraft.

Considering its name, I was expecting a much larger and detailed insight into the Battle of Britain instead of the relatively small display on the role of the RAF which, with its own entrance, is situated to one side of Conningsby Airfield (currently an active Typhoon base). Much more could be included, I feel, about the Battle thus making the... More
