An enjoyable few hours which was added to by a display by a spitfire! The shop has a good history of the BBMF aircraft and the hanger tour just added to the experience. Would definitely recommend the tour where you can get up close and personal with iconic aircraft. Would have been even better to be able to experience inside... More

A lovely tour around the vintage aircraft with a very knowledgeable guide. The tea rooms were lovely and they had a great selection of books for sale.

I have done this tour twice and thoroughly enjoyed both times. You have an hour long tour of the BBMF hangar and are spoken to by very knowledgeable guides. If on a quiet day you might be able to see all of the BBMF aircraft and you are told about the history of the bbmf and certain aircraft in particular.... More

Being a fan of aviation, my partner, mother-in-law and myself went for her birthday, the tour is very informative, with planes to look at if they are not out flying, you can often see engineers working on aircraft. Guides are very knowledgeable, this attraction is good value for money and a good way to spend a couple of hours.

There can't be many people who haven't seen these aircraft flying around the country but to see them up close is fascinating. Our guide was superb very knowledgeable and friendly. A great place to visit.

If you have a couple of hours or so to spare and you're in Lincolnshire get yourself along to RAF Coningsby to see this wonderful display of WW2 aircraft and learn about the history of the iconic Battle of Britain Memorial Flight. This working hanger is home to the Spitfire, Hurricane and Lancaster as well as their general workhorse the... More

We were on our way to Tattershall Castle when the noise from several Eurofighters indicated a nearby airfield, and we realised that BBMF was very close. This led to a visit, and a tour. The museum/shop is free, but to see any planes meant signing up for a tour - 1¼ to 1½ hours to go down one side of... More

We had looked forward to our visit here and weren't disappointed. Small history museum, but the guided tour was the main feature. Our guide Phil was super, making the history interesting and personalised. His many stories of personnel involved in heroic and sometimes tragic missions had his audience transfixed. For anyone with an interest in WW2 a visit is a... More

The older members of the group found it great, very interesting and learned a lot. Younger children got bored after seeing the aeroplanes in the hanger tour as it is quite a long time. But without younger children its an interesting place to visit.

I have been there on numerous times and never get tired. Fab place. We have taken friends from as far as South Africa there and they have enjoyed it.
