Poor poor poor. The fee charged was not worth the visit. It’s around ¥1450. Boring with nothing much to do other than look at cats. They have many cute cats though.

I particularly liked this place for the flat rate entrance fee and the rules for interacting with the cats. The cats looked well taken care of and were very active. The food was alright, I ordered a rose tea (which was kind of tasteless) and they were out of scones unfortunately. I ended up with a blueberry cheesecake instead that was decent. Overall, it's a good place to relax and watch some of the cutest cats ever play around. The cafés decor is quite good and manages to make you forget about the busy streets outside. I recommend going in the morning when they open to catch feeding time for the cats. The menu also had alcoholic drinks and entrées like curry so it may make for an interesting dinner as well.

My fiance took us here as a 4 year dating anniversary. You enter cute cat doors into a huge room completely decorated with tree shaped beds and pawprints with a little house in the middle. The walls are painted to look like you're in a forest, and the music is so calming. It felt like stepping into a cat-filled Totoro movie.
The best part is the cat info book when baby pictures and descriptions of each cat. You learn their age, name and more!
The sad thing is, you're not allowed to pick up the cats (I think that's normal for cat cafes though), and they don't tend to stay around long when you start patting them. We got to watch a small demonstration of them getting treats out of a special toy.
We ordered some food which was expensive but absolutely delicious. I was still a bit hungry afterwards though so I wouldn't recommend planning a full lunch there.
The atmosphere was the best part and you can stay as long as you want (other cafes charge by the hour) so I recommend it if you're wanting to relax.

This was my first visit to a cat cafe in Tokyo. I thought the cats are well looked after and the decor and atmospheric music are fantastic. This venue is huge. Drinks and some snacks were available but we didn't try any.

The cats were aloof, as you would expect. Cats patrolled the area while others watched from a high place. But most were okay with being patted or liked playing with toys. We saw the cats being fed from 6 pm. Each cat has an individualised bowl and the staff made sure that cats ate their correct food. I liked how the cats were free to come and go into a private space as they pleased.

I recommend going in the evening as entry is cheaper after 7pm, plus sleepy cats mean more opportunities for pats. There is no time limit for the cafe, which means that the place can become very crowded.

Just remember that cats aren't like dogs, they're aren't automatically affectionate with new people!

If you wanna go to a cat café, you have to try this here. The staff members are super friendly to animals and to humans and the decoration is stunning. It seems to be like a hobbit cave even in the bathroom. Every time your order is ready a little sound like a bird twittering comes up. It is super sweet there. And if you enter after 7pm it´s a little more cheap.

A cosplay (maid) café with cats. There's about 15 cats in a great café like alice in wonderland style.

My family of 3 (with 12 yo son) went on a Monday in late June. My son LOVED it! Adults thought it was fun and an interesting experience, but probably not something we'd do often. I had made a reservation a month ahead but I don't think it was necessary. We showed up early and it wasn't a problem. The good: lots of pretty cats, whimsical decorations, it's quiet and laid back and is a nice break from exploring. The not as good: the cats were all pretty anti-social unless we had treats for them (small fee for a little cup of chicken bits). It's nice to sit (on pads on the floor) and relax, order something to drink, and watch cats wander around. There were several people with laptops, working or whatever. We stayed about 1 1/2 hours and used it as a rest break basically, while our son wandered around looking at cats. It's just one big room. Wave down an employee if you want to order drinks, take your bill and pay at the cashier at the front.

There's another new cat cafe nearby, apparently with the same owners: Cat Cafe Temari no Oshiro (google maps has it called Kichijoji Petite Mura). It's a few blocks west of Temari no Ouchi. We went there first without a reservation. It has some interesting exterior decoration that you can look at without going in (a cat fountain). It has the same whimsical style decoration, is a bit smaller and the same basic set up.

In both cafes the cats seemed well cared for and had plenty of places to go to escape the customers if they wanted to. None of the employees we dealt with spoke much English, but I think they had info signs in English, or maybe info was in the menu. At both we were told not to feed cats that were wearing collars. I think we had to pay cash at both places. Entrance fee was for as long as we wanted to stay.

The cafe looked amazing and we were excited to visit, however weren’t able to enter as children under ten are not allowed. We didn’t know this so were disappointed. I can see why if the venue has had experience with young children not supervised adequately and bothering the cats - but wish we’d known before our journey there. Hope this helps anyone hoping to visit with younger kids.

We enjoyed our visit to Termari no Ouchi. The cats were beautiful an would let you pet them. Some would wander around more than others and would be tempted by the treats you could purchase for them. My husband and I each had a cocktail and enjoyed just watching the cats interact with other guests. I think what sets this particular cat cafe apart from others is the environment. The space is very whimsical and it's fun to watch the cats climb around on the various steps on the walls & in and out of the little spots to hide. It was a nice break from the hustle and bustle of the Tokyo streets.

In a city with a lot of cat cafes we chose to goto this one as it wasn't too far from the ghibli museum.

We had to que to get in, people being turned away because they hadn't booked. I booked online months before the visit.

The lady on reception understood my English and basic Japanese, we were given our table and ordered a coffee each. We were given a book showing all the cats with info (in Japanese but the google translate app helps alot)

The place looks good, like being in an anime,... it was busy with people from young girls to salary men.

The cats were cute, but unless you had food or a toy they weren't interested in coming over to you at all. Some young girls had brought a tub of treats themselves and of course most of the cats were sat with them,....they mostly looked fed up really,... there wasn't really anywhere the cats could escape to.
The ladies put hats on them at one point too, they didn't seem to mind.

I haven't been to any other Japanese cat cafes to compare it.
