Urbania does not attract a great number of foreign tourists. Surprisingly there are quite a number of eating places all busy with locals. Most are very good. The town has a very friendly feel and relaxed atmosphere and it is a great base to explore the area.

Been here twice, for a combined 5 days. Love the town, its quaintness, proximity to Urbino, and the restaurants and the gelato. All wonderful. I added pictures, take a look -- VISIT if you can.

Even if Fermignano and Urbino claim to be the birth-place of the famous Donato bramante, Urbania, adorns itself with the same 'title'. But it is very well known for its traditional production of majolicas. The town gravitates around the little Oratory of the Carmine where we liked some of the artworks by Sebenico and Colle. The same street also has the... More

This is a pretty little market town. Nice square with a café and icecream shop. We went there on the day of the town saint thinking there would be things going on. We found that it is only in the evening. During the day it is dead quiet and closed as if it was Sunday.

We liked the atmosphere. The building was built over 200 years ago and our room was really an apartment with kitchen, bedroom and ensuite. The bonus for us about the accommodation was the presence of a nice pool and we were treated to amazing 4 course meals including unlimited wine for 30 Euros. The area around Urbanio was so beautiful... More

Friendly people, nice shops. Town piazza has a nice old world charm. Free wi-fi if you register on the tourist office. Would love to return.
