Striking nature. Scary car drive up the hill, but well worth it. Medeval monestary at a spectacular location. A bit scary way to walk the last bit for me with a touch of vertigo. But wort it and walking back was not hard.

Abandoned the unpleasant walk up from the Parador and collected the car, but it was certainly worth it when we reached the monastery. Very interesting, well restored and atmospheric site, with great views. We spent much longer than we expected, which is usually a good sign.

Arrive early and you might have the place to yourself. Carefully restored monastery high on a peninsula.

Driving, looking for the monastery is a pleasure in itself because one passes through beautiful natural forest roads where autumnal colors and mushrooms abound, following the meandering Riu Ter. The monastery itself is beautifully situated and as majestic as other famous catalan monasteries. However this one is particularly interesting for the exhibitions proposed within the old walls. It is not... More

A short drive from Vic, this refurbished monastery is a must see! Historic, remote, and tranquil, we were there on warm, sunny autumn day and were impressed on how well kept the facilities were. The majestic views of the valley and river bed below were breathtaking.

We walked on the special trail from the Parador to the monastery above the lake with glimpses across the water - one hour with photo stops. The monastery has been carefully reconstructed, albeit rather bare but with enough furniture and items to evoke how life must have been 9 centuries ago. Recommend one watches the video (in a small exterior... More

We knew nothing about the Monestir before we stayed at the Parador nearby, and as we didn't want a big breakfast we thought we would take the short drive 3km, up to the site which also had a cafe. What a fabulous location. We had a quick breakfast at the cafe, tostado and cafe con leche and took the 5... More

Very nicely organised monastery giving a good impression of how life was in the middle ages. Take a time to look at the video explaining about the legend of the monastery.

The small scale reconstruction of medieval life in a monastery. A nice escape from our hectic lifestyle and some beautiful design elements such as the tables in the refectory.
