We went for the second time, now with our young kids, and it really worth for everybody! From learning how the cavas are made since early 1551 to visit all the subterranean cavas where the bottles rest before turn into a great cava!

If the country was run as well as Spanish wineries then it would be a world beater, I have visited a few bodegas and they never fail to impress. The cellars of Codorniu ooze with history and beautiful architecture, the staff have an impressive passion...More

What a GREAT TOUR! Our guide was so knowledgeable about the history and tradition of Codorniu and the wine making process. We had so much fun watching the video, riding the train and sampling the sparkles deep inside the cave. I wish we'd been able...More

Not a fan of Codorniu but the visit started earlier than Torres. It blew me away. From the passion of the staff to this impressive oldest family business in Spain, the visit is very impressive. The facilities and the caves are simply amazing. How could...More

We have just completed a tour of the Codorniu cava winery guided by the excellent Virginia. She was very knowledgeable and answered all questions thoroughly. The tour is good value for money and includes a tasting of both the white and Rose Cavas. The tour...More

This is a really impressive wine property. The tour is comprehensive and educational. The vast underground tunnels and storage is quite something. Wine and light lunch served at end of tour was good.

We booked a tour of the Cordoniu cava vineyard on our own via the website. We took the bus from Barcelona (hint, the 1st stop is behind the Mercedes dealership) for 4E. We were the only guests for the English tour! So our private tour...More

A lot of it is on this little train they have. But there is a lot of walking and some of it is underground. April should be 20 degrees so dress for that but then just take a jacket for the chill when you're underground... More

My question is about the bus service that Codorniu offers from Barcelona to Codorniu Cavas. Do these buses provide a direct service to Codorniu Cavas? Or do you have to transfer in Sant Sadurni? And is there a direct bus service from Codorniu Cavas going back to Barcelona?

I took the 9:00 bus but it only got me to the town's center. It was also too late for the 10:00 tour I had booked :(
