It was easter weekend and it was jam packed full of people!! We really struggled to find parking as the car parks were all full. We eventually parked up the road at a lookout point and walked back down towards the pathway. Be aware of how busy it gets during peak holiday times! I have never seen the likes of... More

An unique and authentic place that you must visit once in your life. Need to walk like 20 minutes to reach the top but is really worthy. The history past this place is also singular, like the surroundings. Car needed to reach it.

We included this in a day trip exploring the coastal area. It had rained earlier and was a 'non-tourist' time of year. Beautiful views and scenery, especially as the sky cleared. The walk is fairly steep from the car park, but we're keen walkers so found it easy going.

If you are in Bilbao try to visit this place, despite the walk down the mountain and back again after seeing the church , the views are amazing. I won't recommend if you have small children or you have problems where you get out of breath easily.

It gets super windy on a windy day. Do not fly your drone at the top on a windy day. If you see a drone at a coast near this site, please let me know. It might be mine. It is worth the climb.

You can easily get here with the Bizkaibus buses, there are two options to get here which will leave you close enough to take a walk to San Juan (be warned, the walk is not short but it is not super far away). The place is marvelous and you can enjoy beautiful views on the way up as well as... More

This attraction is definitely a must see. The views are incredible. Take your time if you're not in shape as there are a lot of stairs! A lot of people but I was able to ring the bell at the top. There are stairs near the beginning to go down if you want to sit and relax in the sun... More

My husband and I have never made such an effort to see a church but in this case it's totally worth it :) Must see when you visit the Euskal Herria.

This place is a must visit location if you are in Bilbao or San Sebastian area. It about 1.5 km hike. Not strenuous but not an easy walk in the park either. There is a church on the island and people go and ring the bell three times. It is one of the most beautiful places in the Basque country.
