An excellent place to visit for a gentle, relaxing time (maybe an antidote for Benidorm!). We visited in winter but I'd imagine in summer it would be spoilt by overcrowding.

We hired a car and visit the valley and spent about half a day. The castle is beautiful and the valley and scenic beauty is just breathtaking. Just a reminder this ride is not for those who get car sick very quickly. A must visit!!!!

We had visited Guadalest and its valley in the end of the day. A magnificent old town and views to the valley is definitely worth to see. A “must visit” place.

Away for our wedding anniversary, in the middle of February. Where to go for the day out, try the Guadalest Valley. Truly spectacular, with cafe's and shops to complement the views

This place is amazing . View is unreal . There is such a lovely atmosphere around it and the little village . We spend an hour wandering around the shops and museums . It is reasonably priced also . Will always remember that view :-)

Booked this day trip through around town travel in Benidorm. Very helpful staff and Nicola our guide was awesome. Guadalest dates back to 11th century, has a small population there are lots of little restuarants and some nice shops especially for leather etc great choices.....More

The reservoir provides the drinking water for the immediate towns and villages.....I do not think that kayaks would be welcome!
