Absolutely beautiful piece of history. It's a definite must-see when visiting Alicante. There's two foot paths we used (we climbed up four times for fun), but you can also drive there by car or by lift. The only thing that made us cringe very hard...More

We went up with the lift with the intention of walking down. The views are amazing but there are lots of negatives. There were no maps in any language to be had, so missed most of the areas as there was no methodical route, none...More

It's worth to go there for the view but I wouldn't climb the path/stairs midday. Up there you can spend around 15-30 minutes but there are almost only open spaces and only one small indoor area where you can see some old maps and a...More

I hate sightseeing... and this actually impressed me - definitely a must do even if you hate walking/sun/heat. The elevator is a bit confusing to find but well worth it. Couldn't think of anything worse than walking up that hill in 30deg heat.

Great day out with our 3 and 6 year old. Take sensible shoes, travel light and don't take your eyes off the kids as it is all too easy for them to clamber up and fall off! Not suitable for buggies I would say

The castle is at the top of a rock and involves a lot of walking uphill, but the views to the sea are worth it. It's also good looking down on the rest of the castle from the top. There is also a cafe, a...More

Look at the castle's website ! It talks about the cafeteria which is not too bad and is at the top towards the back. No name unfortunately
