This is a long sandy gently shelving beach with breakwaters - views of the working fishing harbour and to the back is the promenade lined with tapas bars etc

We walked the beautiful promenade in the early evening and were impressed. Very clean and well used by families. The beach was a little empty due to the time of day, but from our boat it looked very impressive the next day.

Great beach with plenty of space shame about the port which is industrial but if ignored it’s the perfect place clean and tidy all round

More of a Spanish town than nearby Mojacar with its more international population, Garrucha beach is great for families, especially the section behindo the breakwater. The harbour is often very interesting too. H

Clean, soft sand, clear sea. Large beach split into two parts by the fishing port and marina. Ample parking, lifeguards during summer months. Never crowded even during August. Surrounded by myriad restaurants and bars and the newly refurbished marina.

Out family was one of only a few on the beach today. Out of season the beach is very quiet, compared to when we were here last summer. Not much to do on the beach. Our son enjoyed the football pitch just next to the...More

Lovely shingle beach with crashing waves. Very pleasant for swimming but glad there were lifeguards on duty as the waves are very strong and knocked me off my feet once or twice. Fine once you're in though.

Great beach, water very clear and amenities in high season are great for children. Sand is very pebbly as is replaced every year as the beach gets washed away most winters, but some parts and more sand than other area. Very bus in August naturally,but...More
