This was a very disappointing break. We used to visit this Spa often, but after a very disappointing stay at the beginning of the year, and leaving feeling no-one cared, we hadn't been back. Last time we had lifted the toilet seat to find a...More

Stayed for the second time with my teenage daughter. Stayed overnight with a few treatments. Atmosphere is very chilled, spa and treatment areas are very relaxing. Good food served in both the restaurant and lunch area.

So as regulars to Lifehouse we were slightly frustrated at the lack of staff at check in. Meant lengthy queues! Room was as expected, warm and cosy although our patio door wouldn't close properly so our security was a worry!!! Rooms were too warm at...More

A lovely relaxing time, with a really good massage and spa sessions. Fab food, although the resturant does get very booked up.

I booked here last minute for a solo retreat after my original choice of hotel turned out to not be suitable. Lifehouse was exactly what I needed: luxury, calm (adults only!), beautiful surroundings and nourishing for the body and mind. Of course it all comes...More

Dear Alan, Thank you so much for my mention within your testimonial. It was much appreciated. As you are aware I am a more mature therapist which unfortunately many high street salons, spas and agencies seem to have issues with. What happened to good old fashioned experience, knowledge and wisdom along with the ability to think out side of the tick box. Recently I was rudely asked my age which I am sure you are well aware of The Equality Act 2010 put in place to protect an individuals characteristics, one being ageism.... This local high street spa who carried out an interview in the reception area was more concerned about what products I was trained in as apposed to asking about the range of clientele I have worked with in my 25 year career.... that being all ages, cancer patients and a hospice environment. I was appalled and explained that I was not at liberty to answer that question, however I knew even before that I would not be placed and thank goodness too! I have to say on behalf of Life House Spa they do employ a range of therapists including the more mature. I would have been offered a permanent position if the distance was not an issue. Luckily after being in the industry a very long time I have a good private client base that keeps my ticking along. Thanks Alan. x

When I was at Lifehouse Spa in November, the bar area was lovely and clean and the staff were super helpful, unlike Eden Hall Spa where I went in August which was dirty and slovenly in every area; bar, lounge, pool, etc.
