This is a beautifully preserved Elizabethan house which is still home to the owner. There is much history with William and Mary and General Patton visiting in the past. The furniture and paintings all have their own story and some of the works of art are exceptional. This is certainly worth a visit although children may find the tour a... More

There is a nice mixture of attractions here, of which the House tour and the Farming museum were the highlights for me. Tours were running every half hour on Easter Monday and these lasted about a hour. There are plenty of paintings and portraits for viewing as well as collections of period furniture. The tour starts in the Dining room,... More

The museums working weekend with classic cars, caravans, tractors and more was excellent. All of museum staff are friendly and helpful. Phil, the curator keeps the grounds immaculate! The only thing that I wouldn't highly rate is the café, due to the minimum cost for an ice cream being £3. Ice cream was only sold in scoops of 2, which... More

Lovely house with so much history to learn about whilst being guided round. The property also has a fantastic country museum and a shop selling very reasonably priced goods. There is a tea room that we didn't have time to go to, but will next time we visit. There is also a maze that again we didn't have time to... More

We've been to Breamore House a few times. And if you read the other reviews you could be put off. On this occasion we went for a walk over the Easter weekend thinking we could end the jaunt with an afternoon tea. To our delight, the tea rooms have new ownership, a new menu and delightful staff. Greeted with a... More

Fascinating house and museum tour. Great day out in the New Forest. And don't miss the modest-looking tea room, which has great home-cooked food, cakes and coffee

My wife and I had rejoined the HHA (£77.00) and having visited Mottisfont Abbey (20 mile..45 mins) earlier we decided to visit Breamore House for the 2.00 o'clock tour (2.00, 3.00, 4.00) and joined a party of twelve. We found the tour (approx one hour) informative and interesting and also the Countryside Museum (open 1.00-5.30) which showed how the village... More
