Stunning building; really very beautiful. However it's a bit of a nightmare for anybody with mobility issues - or even a sore foot! I totally understand why the architects wanted to keep the lines completely clean, but suitably stylish handrails and a few benches really ARE needed. It's a long walk from the ship to the exit for anybody with problems - or even a small child, I imagine. Thankfully there is at least a lift, but it's not very well signposted. The minimalism looks gorgeous, but the building is a real struggle for elderly / less mobile people.

Great stopover port. We had been warned about the pontoon damage due to strong southerlies bouncing wave the around the marina. Staff were working hard to fix the damage and new piles at the ends of the fingers should help prevent another occurrence. Very dirty water with a lot of debris was not very nice. Beautiful beach next door and all facilities close by. Wifi signal not good but showers and toilets ok.

This made for a very impressive introduction to Porto. From here, it was so easy to get to beaches and take tours of both the Old Town and the Villa Nova de Gaia sides of the Duoro River. The Atlantic Ocean stretches down this section of coastline for a bit (where the beaches are) and it is such a pretty coastline drive traveling to the Ponte de Dom Luis I Bridge. From here, we could cross over into the Villa Nova de Gaia part of Porto. The marina offices had the most attractive display of Porto in miniature. We could get close-up looks at the dimensions of these landmarks and get familiar with them when we visited them on our excursions. Thank you, Porto!

Combine this smaller attraction review with the bigger one, Porto de Leixoes. This is only one attraction (the name is the same) but it shows two different listings.
