Main church in Tagbilaran, cathedral of San Jose are most important catholic church on town. Large, with enough day light and nice painting. It is important to visit because of the beautiful church paintings

the place has been modified due earthquakes times, old monument of saint and other catholic structure are still remain, solemn and peaceful for praying and thanksgiving to our creator.

A very old and ornate church that was damaged on the outside by the Bohol Earthquake, but upon peering inside (there was a funeral going on, so we didn't take any photos), the building looks unscathed.

Still under renovation at the time of my visit, but already beautiful. The wall and ceiling paintings are very well done.

My first visit to Tagbilaran was in 1985 and I would say that it is still one of the best cities I've been the Philippines. The Cathedral, a very peaceful and quiet church right in front of the plaza is the first place I visit...More

Visited the St. Joseph Cathedral in Tagbilaran City. It has newly paint in the outside and wall painting inside. Very peaceful and quiet. Daily mass is available at 12 noon, except on Sundays as they have a different schedule on Sundays.

The Cathedral is stone throw away from Darunday Pensione where we stayed for 3 days. Where looking for Garden Cafe and found people and churchgoers agog in front of the plaza with loud hymnal sound hovering in the air. We thought there was special guests...More
