There had a lovely view of cherry blossom during in season. It was very crowded because of cherry blossom. You can not imagine how beautiful it is. It's worth to go there.

The moat is located next to Yasukuni Shrine and Edo Castle, this place is definitely one of the best place for sakura viewing whether viewing from afar or while boating! Picturesque hanami at any spot along the moat :D Would definitely come back here again...More

Best view when going there in the Sakura season. However, it will be very crowded at that time of the year so be prepared.

We were told about a number of spots to view Sakura, but this seemed it would be the most attractive. Chidorigafuchi is actually the moat area behind and surrounding the Imperial Palace. From Shijuku area, we took the Shinjuku line at Shinjuku sanchome. This way...More

One of the most amazing place to see the cherry blossom trees in Tokyo. Also, we got lucky with the weather, with a sunshine all the way.

Yotsuya / Iidabashi
Yotsuya and Iidabashi are areas that developed around
the outer moat of the Imperial palace. Nearby in
Kagurazaka, there is an old red-light district with a
photogenic feel evocative of the ambiance of old
Tokyo. Narrow paths with stone paving remain to this
day, and there are long-standing restaurants with
geishas and quaint old cafes in townhouse buildings.

In august its just a Moat surounded by water it may be nice if you take a boat and row it in the canal a bit other that that its nothing special. Beter go to Shinjuku Gyoen and Hie shrine finish off in Askusa temple.

In autumn, foliage colours are not as impressive in the garden, compared to spring time sakura blooming week. Still a nice garden to stroll in, though. Might catch some colours in between.

Fall season at Chidoriga Fuchi is also nice. Usually end of November is good to see colored trees. however, the best season of coloring trees depends on weather and air temperature this year.
