If Broadway meets sparkly 60's casino showgirl revue sounds awesome to you, you really need to see a Takarazuka show if you come to Japan. All female review in Yurakucho, Tokyo. Great sets, music and costumes.. The entire show "Rurouni kenshin" was in Japanese, but with the benefit of some pre- reading you could follow the story... Fun evening.

A seemingly brand new theatre that could have been in Las Vegas, a double bill called La Esmeralda of an affecting love story followed by a Liberace-type revue, superb acting, singing, dancing and completely over the top costumes in the revue section. It is a theater in one of the busiest areas of the city. It exclusively shows Takarazuka Girls' Revue all year around. The theater's main floor staircase with red carpet is beautiful. The Takarazuka Revue is made up with only women. They perform mainly musicals and are excellent.
