Friends told us that this is the BEST Japanese style garden in Tokyo, and we agree. Magnificent, and beautifully quiet. Well worth a visit. And free.

Take a break, slow down, relax and reflect. Stroll these beautiful gardens. Watch the fish from the Japanese style bridge. Read the paper, a book. You will quickly forget you are in the middle of the city.

Not huge, but cosy. Several restaurants also available. But is is nice just to stroll around and see the trees, the flowers, the water falls and the many expensive Koi Karps in the water holes there. A statue of the founder Otani-san is in the garden. If you ntake coffee or lunch in The Garden Lounge in New Otani you... More

Walked around and photographed every morning. What a beautiful oasis in the city. The gardens have quite the history and such a treasure. Highly recommended to take the time to stroll through the gardens during your stay. Early morning and late evening is the best time.

It is a very wonderful place in a very loud city! Walking there just to relax, jogging for being in shape, sitting down and just think about the things you have to think about.... all is possible

We were part of a tour group staying at the Hotel New Otani. This ancient Garden has quite a history and is absolutely gorgeous. Beautiful waterfalls. You should walk through both early morning, and at night when they turn on the garden lights. Gorgeous!!

Within the bustling city hotel is a beautiful tranquil garden with superb shrubs and flowers, it also has a water fall, pools with large fish and at night it lit up to enhance its beauty. It is a tranquil place to spend some time if you have a busy schedule.
