On Sunday afternoons they block off one of the main street for pedestrians, which is nice. Every major high end retailer has a store here, and there are also some enormous department stores. My favorite is Mitsokoshi. Also a lot of restaurants, but NOT at...More

Nice area with all the top end brands. Lots of places to eat lunch with nice views (e.g: the restaurant at the top of the famous stationery building). Great department store shopping. The only thing to do here is spend lots of money, that is...More

Fun area to explore the high-end shopping. Of particular fun is the basement and all the wonderful food options to try out. Usually you can find some smaller options to try. The stores are well-maintained and plenty of options to examine.

The area looses its traffic on Saturdays and becomes walkable and enjoyable. Do a tourist like me visiting the 12th floors Uniqlo was quite an experience. Super nice.

We visited on a Sunday and the streets were blocked off from traffic. Every high end store was in the mall. We loved people watching and seeing the chic style of Tokyo.

Lined with brand name stores and new shopping malls ( Ginza 6 being the latest), Ginza can satisfy the shopaholic and any stomachs. From sushi to steak house to dessert shops. You name it there is probably one around the corner. As an architecture enthusiast,...More

We came here for lunch and for the drop-off location on our Panoramic Tokyo tour. It is a nice area with a lot of expensive brands such as Giorgio Armani & Coach.

Ginza / Tokyo Nihonbashi
Ginza is famous for being a trendy hotspot, but it's
also a downtown area with shops that were founded over
a hundred years ago. Department stores and luxury
boutiques line the route from Nihonbashi to Ginza.
It's a long established tradition to shop and stroll
while the road is closed to traffic. Luxury hotels,
world class cuisine from talented chefs, and a
collection of glitzy clubs will make this area popular

I stayed at the Mitsui Garden Hotel not in Ginza but Kyobashi. This is newer and is a quick walk to Ginza. Loved the cleanliness and the attention that the staff gave us.
How do I get to Mitsukoshi Department Store from Harajuku?
