Want to soar like an eagle? Or knock an item off of your bucket list? Then come and visit us! We offer tandem flights for: Paragliding, Hang Gliding & Motorized Hang Gliding Trike. Tandem flights range in time from 8 minutes to over an hour, depending on the conditions. If you want to become a pilot yourself, we have qualified instructors to teach you how to paraglide or hang glide. The flight park has 2 launch sites and a 2000' grass runway and 2 smaller taxiways as well as a Pilot's Lounge, an outdoor covered deck where you can relax after your flight and watch others "commit acts of aviation"! We are open from late April to mid-October, weather permitting.

Spent two days at Freedom Flight School. The ground school and flight school was comprehensive, informative and always, always stressed safety first.
Dave and Terry are an impressive duo as instructors and both come with a real passion to safely unlock that free spirit inside all of us.
Freedom Flight School itself was an incredible community of like minded and non like minded flyers who bond through the educational components of the course, community kitchen, live music (when the jams start) and respect for all "newbies" to the sport.
Never thought this would be for me and now will return each and every year.
Thank you Dave and team. See you in 2024.

If you’re looking for an exceptional paragliding school or experience, you’ve found what you’re looking for. Dave and Terry are phenomenal and generous instructors, the training terrain at the park is superb, and the atmosphere of the flight lounge is addictive and very supportive. After trying another paragliding school in BC, I was blown away by the level of quality training that Freedom Flight provides, and I’m so pleased with my decision to have completed my P1 and P2 training with them.
They made excellent suggestions for a setup, and I was thrilled to be able to buy everything I need for paragliding at the park. I would HIGHLY recommend their expertise when buying paragliding gear!!
Dave and Terry really care and pay attention to details for all of their students, and safety (alongside tons of fun) is their number one priority. Whether it’s a tandem flight, or learning how to fly, I’m certain you’ll be more than satisfied with your experience at Freedom Flight.

Since the first time I watched my friend run off the side of a mountain in Australia with a paraglider, I wanted to do it. It took about a decade for me to find the time, money, and courage to take up the sport finally. When I was ready, I researched and contacted many schools across Canada, and Freedom Flight School stood above the rest in terms of reviews, reputation, instructor experience, and cost. Dave Underwood quickly replied to my myriad of questions and was of great help in sorting out my accommodations--I had about a month to attain my P1 and P2 certificates and had my dog with me. The flight park has its own campground with a unique open lounge and hot shower. Dave and Terry were my instructors, and right off the bat, you can tell that they were exceptionally experienced and well-respected amongst all the pilots that hung around the park. They communicated clearly and were professional, patient, and understanding. More importantly, they built up my confidence in the sport, so I feel comfortable leaving the park to fly in new and unfamiliar sites. Dave also brought in another instructor, Jerry, from time to time, who went above and beyond with teaching me about air space regulations (HAGAR). I am extremely delighted that I chose Freedom Flight School to learn paragliding. I don't think there is another school with this amount of support. The flight park also hosted a great community of new and experienced pilots. Pilots across Canada (as well as the US and Europe) flocked to the park during the summer and everyone made sure that the newbies were encouraged, supported, and comfortable. Freedom Flight School has built an amazing community and I can't speak highly enough of it. I would recommend this school to anyone thinking of learning to paraglide. 10/10.

I completed my P1 and P2 at Freedom Flight School and cannot say enough positive things about my experience. Dave and crew have created a supportive community of paragliders and hang gliders that really provide the perfect place to learn to fly. Instruction was fantastic, current gear provide (even after I completed my course so I could keep flying while I waited for my gear to arrive), great launch spot, and lots of laughs. As a female pilot, I felt completely supported and encouraged to grow...sparkly harness and all. I cannot thank everyone at FFP enough!

Definitely the best place to learn paragliding :) Not only are Dave and Terry awesome instructors and pilots but they've also built an amazing community with tonnes of great pilots to learn from.

My wife, daughter and I did our first tandem today.
It was an amazing time and an even better view of the valley.
Dave, Oliva and Terry took great care of us and were excellent pilots. We would definitely recommend them all.

We had a fantastic time paragliding today! I rode with Terry while my dad rode with Dave and we both got to be in the air for approx 40 minutes! They were both very friendly and knowledgeable and I would reccomend anyone to go here if they wanted to try tandem paragliding or take lessons!

Highly recommended. Completed my P1 and P2 here. A great, progressive course that lets you gradually build up your skills. Dave and the rest of the staff were amazing. Can't say enough about them. The location provides great amenities. Just amazing!

It took us two visits to take flight (the first time the winds did not cooperate) but that is part of what makes this business successful at what it does. They want you to experience the thrill of a good flight and that is certainly what we had - 80 minutes in the air sharing information of what makes for good thermals as well as good chitchat and stories as well. The scenery is spectacular. If you want a great memory and something to tell family and friends, this is one. My husband joined me in this special 80th birthday celebration. Dave, Terry and others made for a great day.
