We went there in winter and there were snow everywhere. We are glad that we went there in winter because the view was so great, we enjoyed it a lot. There were not many people there so we enjoyed the silence while next to the river. After walking like 2KM, we have found a restaurant/cafe there and we stayed there... More

Walking through this lush valley is a treat in itself, but when combined with an exploration of the ancient Christian cave churches, it is a must. The hike is 9 miles, but there are places to rest and eat at both ends. Learn as much about the history as you can in advance to make this a richer experience.

We came here as part of a "Green Tour", and had thus not as much freedom to explore as one could have wished for, having to keep up with the group. I would gladly have skipped the lunch-stop and the two sales-stops of the tour for another hour in the valley - it seemed to be plenty to explore of... More

If you like nature and walking, yes you are in the true place. You are walking just near to the Melendiz river in the valley. All around is nature and feeling peaceful. Just close ypur eyes and listen to the nature. There are lots of small churches even from 10th century
