One of the most visited temples in South indian, Mookambika temple is located at kollur in karnataka state. The goddess parvathi is the main deity here and can be reached via buses from mangalore, Kollur and udupi. The souparnika river flower nearby the temple where devotees take bath during their visit of the temple. One can also get shared jeeps... More

Went with family during 2nd week of March. It was just before festival started. There was less rush and we had good darshan.

I'm unable to describe about this place/temple/devi in my words. Truly a holy place and the visit will change your life for sure. All facilities for staying and food available near the temple. Just go - balance all will come on way. Hire a jeep and go to Kudachadri Hills also.

I have been visiting Mookambika temple since the 90s. Over the years the surroundings have become more commercialized and the Souparnika river has bore the brunt of the rising popularity. Temple is famous of starting any skill , vidyarambham, arangettam etc. It can get very crowded during holiday season. But early morning and late night poojas are best times for... More

This is a well known temple and is popular among tourists. We were disappointed with the cleanliness and neatness of this place. The temple has also become very commercial, with long lines of devotees. One can cut the line by paying 500 rupee "special darshan" fee. However, even the special fee will grant you only a fraction of a second... More

This is a famous Hindu temple in south India, dedicated to Mookambika Devi. Regular bus services are available from Udupi and Mangalore. Many hotels are available around the temple for accommodation. There are many restaurants as well.

I think all Hindus should visit this temple and get Amma Mookambika's Blessings. The temple is so cleanly maintained. After visiting this temple I hear the song from one Tamil movie , Janani .. Janani .. by Maestro Ilayaraja. There are so many good & decent hotels to stay. I am very eager to visit this temple once more although... More

This temple fridge is a scenic ride into the Moogambika reserve forest. The temple is very touching and silent. During my visit this place had less visitors which made the dharshan very peaceful.
