We were there weeks before the hurricane. So sad to see the latest reviews. If you want to be at or near the natural part of the beach, that is the way south. For example Papagayo's on the google map. A nice way in if...More

Was there before Irma. Nice! Came back in december. Everything was gone. Looked like after a nuclear holocaust.

Great breeze, small waves and soft sand. Many places to rent an umbrella and chair. Much more colorful than Philipsburg and not quite as hot. Remember one small part of the beach is clothes optional. No cameras but a nice walk through anyway. Enjoy the...More

You won't be disappointed, and if you bring children with you, you shouldn't see naked bathers, unless you walk to the far end of the beach. If you do go there, be prepared, you might see about anything.

We visited Orient Bay Beach as a stop on our cruise, and most of the people just lay on the beach and drank rum punch. My wife and I body-surfed and splashed and played the whole time we were there, and it was like being...More

From the port, we asked the taxi driver to take us to orient beach---a bit of a distance, but well worth it. Bring your Euros and you'll find a nice umbrella and comfy lounger--your best bet is the Sun Beach Clubber--wifi is included in the...More

This is kms long, so some areas of massed hotel chairs, some areas of nothing, and lots of space to find your own bit of sand. We walked down to the north and east just about to the point at the end. Wear or take...More

Not much to say other than we have been to almost all the accessible beaches and this is by far the best.

No. All I can think of is that these folks are advertising for other island venues. Either that, or they are science-fiction novel writers. Mind you, there is still a lot of debris and a number of places were... More

It is a calm beach, well at least on the day we were there. Gentle slope on beach for walk down to the water also. But like any beach, subject to conditions on the day I would assume.
