Everyone at jakes landing has been fantastic, the staff are attentive and efficient. highly recommended booking online and filling out paper work prior to arrival. Makes for a very smooth transition.
I have spent a lot of time on Keji lake and the Mersey river as a kid and now as an adult, I highly recommend this location.

We rented 2 cables plus gear from Whynot, and did the Keji backcountry trip. 2 nights and 28km of canoeing/portaging. The "light and tough" 16ft option was perfect, made it through without issue and could carry it just my wife and I. Our friends booked the 17ft "stable" canoe and had a difficult time because of the weight.
Either way, the service was great; we were too late in the Friday to pick it up, so they arranged an after hours pick up for us, and we arrived back the Monday morning before they opened, but they still let us return it all.
Over all they were friendly, helpful, and resourceful. I will absolutely use them again (until such a time as I can afford my own canoe).

I love kayaking and this was my first visit to Kejimkujik National Park. Was happy that there was a place to rent a kayak! Such a beautiful place to kayak and canoe. I took a kayak out solo and when I got back my partner was planning our next adventure to rent a canoe for the two of us and our dog! It was super busy when we got there at 10:30am on a weekday in August. Would highly recommend showing up early if you've not made a reservation ahead. Staff were friendly and made sure that everything was good to go! They don't take cash make sure that you have a credit card or a debit credit card to rent. Super good prices to rent a kayak or canoe, everyone was friendly on the river and lots of families enjoying paddling with their kids which was so great to see! Will be back! Highly recommend!

We've been doing backcountry camping at Keji for a number of years now, and always rent our canoe from Whynot.
The online process is slick and self-explanatory, but they are also very quick to respond to emails when necessary. They have had to alter some procedures around the COVID-19 fiasco, but the process remains smooth, professional, helpful and easy.
Staff on site are also great sources of knowledge of the backcountry sites and best routes for any upcoming weather/wind.

Whynot Adventures is a fantastic company! We have rented canoes from them for more than 10 years for our annual tradition of backcountry canoe camping at Keji (first as a couple & now with young kids). Their staff have always provided us outstanding service and advice. They are friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. Their gear is in great shape. I find their prices reasonable. Their team goes above and beyond to share their love of Keji and to make sure their customers have an excellent experience. I highly recommend renting canoes and other gear from them. I haven't been on a guided tour but I'm sure it would be a quality experience based on the enjoyable interactions I've had with their staff over the years. It's really good to see a company doing well & giving consistently excellent customer service. Their canoes can book up on busy days in the summer so I recommend planning ahead to make a booking so you aren't disappointed if their canoes or kayaks are all rented.

Easy online booking, when I called them for some advice they were very knowledgeable and very articulate with their information. It was very helpful. Once I booked online, the processes on-site was very quick and also very safe (given covid regulations)

We rented canoes for some time on the lake and went back for kayaks the next day to go up the river.
Staff were wonderful and helpful, especially helping us plan our lake trip.
Booking through the website was easy, which made pickup on the day of our reservations very quick!

We wanted to rent three canoes for the day and we were told there was only two canoes available and not for the time we wanted. However, the lovely folks at Whynot engaged us in conversation and figured out that we didn’t actually want them for the entire day, we just wanted more than four hours. They were were able to get us out on the lake for the times we wanted, and we took two canoes and two double kayaks instead of three canoes. We were a little unfamiliar with the kayaks, but it ended up working out great! They also recommended a great little beach, which turned out fantastic.
We do a trip to Keji every year with two other families, and each year we’ve been blown away by the friendly staff at Whynot. They are busy, so book early!

We've been renting canoes and Kayaks here for the last 5 years. Always great and lovely, great advice from the employees here. Refreshing to see they're not all just "yes" people either - have heard them telling people "hey, this is too dangerous, you're not going to be able to leave like this" which is SUPER NECESSARY because some people have 0 idea what they're doing and lake Keji can be very, very windy.

Whynot Adventure is a FANTASTIC company! We were originally booked for 24 hours, but were unable to come due to the weather. Whynor offered to change our booking to a day instead of 24 hour trip. Very friendly, very professional, just really awesome people to deal with! Highly recommended!
