Overview
More
We are excited to help you to experience private rain forest camping and to hike to breath taking waterfalls. We are excited to grow plants and make them into food and medicine. Request your food experience, breakfast or lunch, we do "farm to fork" and live, fermented food, reservations only. Dining areas are adorned with original paintings and musical instruments are available to traveling musicians to play. Visitors of La Gavilana can participate in a fermenting workshop to explore basic fermenting techniques. We produce original salsa picante and gavilana bitter tinctures.

The great forest hike was awesome! We got the full rainforest experience: cloudforest, rainforest, crossing rivers, delicious lunch at the basecamp and the adventureous horseride down the mountain to el castillo (incuding the aftermath of the ride, ouchh...)
