About
Alpaca Alpaca is a small family run alpaca farm set in 11 acres situated on the outskirts of the beautiful historic town of Yarm, where we aim to raise happy, healthy alpacas with outstanding genetics. We moved to our little small holding in 2014 where we started with 6 chickens and our dog Siren. Since then our family has grown and we now have 37 alpacas, 3 crazy sheep and Jerry the pig.

- RFManchester, United Kingdom33 contributionsLovely afternoon! We loved our experience at Alpaca Alpaca! Firstly we were warmly welcomed by the staff who were so friendly. We walked the lovely Kenny and learnt so much on the walk from the guide. We then fed some the other alpacas carrots before ending with a quiz and browse of the little Alpaca Shack! The experience is around 90 minutes altogether and was perfect for a sunny Sunday afternoon!Visited May 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten May 15, 2023

- Hannah S14 contributionsAmazing Alpaca ExperienceBrilliant visit to Alpaca Alpaca at Leven Valley! Went with my Husband for his birthday. All the staff were lovely and our guide, Martin, was fantastic, an absolute asset to the business. There wasn’t anything he didn’t know about the amazing alpacas they looked after. The animals were clearly very well cared for, happy creatures and the walk around the land was stunning. Plus great coffee from the coffee van at the end. Our group got to feed the female Alpacas at the end which was fab. Just an all round lovely experience, would definitely recommend!Visited July 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten July 16, 2023
- Angela C2 contributionsAmazingWhat a amazing experience we had when the alpacas came to us for a visit, at our day service in Brotton. The alpacas and staff give us lots of information about them and the alpacas were so gentle with our clients and seemed to understand their needs. I would highly recommend Alpaca Alpaca to everyone.Visited July 2023Travelled on businessWritten July 22, 2023
- LidsDurhamCounty Durham, United Kingdom308 contributionsDefinitely go alpaca trekkingThis was an amazing experience Alpaca trekking in the Leven Valley, Yarm. Fantastic staff, so knowledgeable and friendly, made us so welcome from the minute we drove through the gates. There’s a excellent coffee van on site with locally made cookies and brownies, which we had before we set off. We walked the boys first, ours was called Sumo, who chatted most of the time along the way. We met the llamas, sheep and the rescue wild boar, who seemed very happy. We we lucky to be part of Alpaca Alpaca’s first wedding proposal - she said yes. Then we fed the girls and the crias (babies). There was a little quiz at the end to recap on all the facts Martin, one of the guides shared on route. My granddaughter loved the whole experience. , and of course a little hut full of alpaca goodies. We bought a soft toy and I had to have socks. My granddaughter loved it. - Emily P1 contributionLovely experienceGreat experience with brilliant staff, gorgeous animals and lovely views. The walk was a good length but not too hilly or strenuous so you could really enjoy your time with the alpacas. The staff were very knowledgeable and answered any questions we had. We also got to feed the alpacas and there was a chance for a drink and snacks at the end. Would definitely go again.Visited September 2023Travelled with familyWritten September 22, 2023

Amazing time today. Martin was fantastic and so knowledgeable with an obvious love for the animals. An expert at walking backwards and talking to everyone! Figaro was very chilled and a perfect walking partner! All the animals were obviously well cared for, and nice to see the llama too! Would recommend highly!

We had a wonderful corporate day out with the alpacas for our workplace Christmas party. The setting is beautiful, the alpacas are so lovely to spend time with. Debby and Martin were so welcoming. We had a walk along the river, each with an alpaca, followed by a feeding session and hot drinks for afterwards. Would highly recommend for an experience that will put a smile on everyone’s faces!

Absolutely loved my walk with the cheeky Marvin! It was such an amazing experience. The guide who took us around was so knowledgeable and so informative about the alpacas! He was so friendly and very lovely to talk to. We also fed the lady alpacas carrots and what a funny experience it was! At the end I bought a hot chocolate and was served by a lady called Debby, what a lovely lady and the hot chocolate was so nice!! ☺️

This place is amazing, not to be missed, we had a great afternoon and met most of the alpacas, the sheep, llamas, cats & a rescue pig. The tour was first class, how Martin, our guide, remembers all of the names & traits of over 40 alpacas is beyond belief, but he did. We even got to feed the alpacas which is a treat in itself, they are so funny and curious. We cannot wait to visit again, don't forget to visit the small shop & stock up on the items for sale, you wont be disappointed, Absolutely well worth a visit!!

We were gifted an experience as a birthday present, and we had the best day!
We were all given an alpaca to walk around the field - we saw baby alpacas, llamas, and sheep on our walk too. The volunteers were all incredibly knowledgeable and made our experience super engaging and fun.
We got to take photos with the alpacas we were walking and feed the female alpacas at the end of the walk too. At the end of the walk, you can buy a coffee and snacks from the coffee hut and take part in a fun quiz to see what you can remember about the alpacas!
The only thing I would say is it may be difficult to find! The gate are (understandably) closed so keep your eyes peeled so you don’t miss it!
A lovely change for a Saturday afternoon out, would recommend 😊

Hi, I am a spinner and weaver and wondered if you sell your fleeces once your alpacas are shorn and if so when would they be available and what would be the approximate cost per fleece.
