Warm welcome, great atmosphere
Feb. 2020
If you want a good night out with karaoke, choose the Ship on a Friday night, the pub is warm and welcoming and the management and staff friendly and helpful. Andy is the best karaoke compare there is, fair and so good at what he does. By the way the food at the Ship, Sunday lunch is fantastic.

Best Pub in Town!!
Jul. 2019 • Friends
A traditional English pub!! The bar staff and licensees are very friendly and you always get a warm welcome. There's a good selection of beers, lagers and ciders on draught and the cask ales are always well kept.
Live bands on a Saturday night are very popular and the atmosphere is fantastic. There's open mic night during the week and a couple of quiz nights.
The Sunday dinner is fantastic value for money with ample choice of meats and desserts.
The Ship Inn is by far the best pub in Guisborough.

they do meals again
Jun. 2019 • Couples
Have had a meal here in the past and found out yesterday they are doing so again, between 12 and 1500 then 1600 to 1900. A good selection freshly prepared and served in a separate dining area. Good prices including pensioners 2 for £8. The camerons beer is £2.50 a pint together with other lagers and ciders.

Fantastic Gluten Free Sunday dinner
May 2019 • Couples
We went with 2 gluten free members of our group, that was noted on our table card from when we booked. The young girls serving were very friendly, helpful and quick to getting us served. They offered gluten free Yorkshire puddings and gluten free gravy which came in a boat of its own. Big portions for a very reasonable price and all the food was hot and fresh. You can choose from 1 to 3 meats. Will definitely be visiting again!

Sunday Lunch
Nov. 2017 • Couples
Very welcoming staff, the sunday roast dinner was excellent. Plenty of meat and different veg, very large yorkshire puds and a good variety of desserts to choose from ( if you have room after the large dinner).

Called in for drinks - well kept pub
Jun. 2017 • Couples
Decent quality beer kept and free wifi - nice pub in Guisborough - think it's the last one on the main street - much better atmosphere than the spoons too.

Traditional welcoming pub
Apr. 2017 • Friends
One of the few small pubs left in the town. They have quiz nights twice a weekend music nights, karaoke, comedy nights but sadly no longer serve food.
Very friendly traditional pub.

Been here a few times, it's a very friendly pub, sometimes we have had a bar meal, which is always good value and tasty. A nice interior and good beer.

Homely and Welcoming
Nov. 2016 • Couples
Ladies, you could feel comfortable going into this pub on your own: the manageress and her staff are friendly, as are the customers. Someone will always talk to you and make you feel part of the place.
The food is excellent and with the daily specials, excellent value. Sunday dinner is very good and very reasonably priced. There was one evening they had peppered beef on the specials menu and they really excelled themselves. It wasn't just good it was absolutely delicious; the beef literally melted in your mouth.
The pleasant dining room is separate from the main pub, which gives a more tranquil atmosphere.
The main pub has a live mike night for amateur singers and musicians and many of the acts are very good but the audience is welcoming and encourage those who would like to try. There is also karaoke and a quiz on other nights and although I have not been on a Saturday night, I am told the groups they have on are also very good.
They do have a courtyard for better weather.
However, I could recommend this pub on its friendliness and on the quality of the food alone.

We went here to eat and ended up staying until closing time after several drinks!
The food was delicious and good value, the staff were very friendly and the locals most welcoming.
Would definately visit again if we are in the area.
