The guided tour was worth taking - we'd never have discovered the many well- concealed priests holes ourselves or learned about their part in our intolerant history. The rooms are sparsely but evocatively furnished and the staff were pleasant and helpful. The tea room was small and cosy (avoid it after a tour has just ended, we were advised!) and... More

This is one location that you need to visit. Tremendous history in sublime surroundings. Lovely tea room. People there were most friendly and very helpful.

The hall is a companion property to Coughton Court in Warwickshire and shares a similar history of Catholic owners, oppression and ingenious priest holes. Where it differs is the irresistibly attractive village setting, moat and homespun character. There are no room guides, so you have to listen to the austere voice of the audio, else wait for the hourly tour... More

Thanks to Groupon, we had a wonderful day out at this fascinating survival. Up till now it's been a well-kept secret, as we've lived in the area for ten years and had no idea of its existence. We had a very enthusiastic and knowledgeable guide for a tour which lasted close to two hours. The cafe was also excellent, with... More

Thoroughly enjoyed ourselves even my 34 yr old son was intrigued especially looking for the priest holes of which there are many and varied. Good interactive visitor centre with wooden games to play. Suitable for all ages. Tea and cake in garden. Only downside is small restaurant so if raining or cold you either forget it if tables are full... More

Harvington is a moated medieval and Elizabethan manor-house south-east of Kidderminster. Many of the rooms still have their original Elizabethan wall-paintings and the Hall contains the finest series of priest hides anywhere in the country. What i saw of this wonderful building was awe-inspiring. Unfortunately, I only got as far as the spiral stairway up to the next floor as... More

The positives: Friendly, helpful staff - nothing was too much trouble. Easily signposted from main roads. Interesting place with good information around the site. Lovely food. Very clean toilets. The negatives: In this day in age I would expect everywhere to have a baby change unit. There wasn't one so I had to change my son in the garden!! The... More

Hello there, Thank you for your very helpful feedback. We're delighted to hear that you had a lovely visit. I'm very sorry to hear that there were also disappointing elements to your visit. We do actually have a baby changing facility just off the entrance courtyard. From your feedback, it seems that we need to make this more obvious to... More
