Interesting castle with varied architecture. The fish pond in the ancient courtyard is mesmerizing. The castle isn’t too large so you can tour the whole place in less than an hour. This gives you extra time to spend a while gazing at the most interesting features like the fish pond.

This place is definitely worth a visit whilst you're in Stari Grad. Its garden is beautiful and very peaceful, especially the fish pond filled with mullet. There were also several different fruits growing in the well-presented gardens, including grapes, figs, limes and even pomegranates. It was wonderful soaking up the peaceful atmosphere for an hour or two.

I loved the place. Petar Hektorović (the poet who built the mansion in the 16th century) knew what he was doing. It's got a lovely garden and the fish pond, and I found it quite relaxing to be there, sit down and enjoy.
