We will not be operating in Italy during the 2015 season. Attention aviators, Are you ready for your Aviator Experience in an authentic Vintage Aircraft? Join Vintage Aeroplane for a joyride like no other. Sensations of the wind in your hair, open skies above, the sounds and smells of that big round engine are all yours to enjoy! Fly a biplane, an authentic military trainer from the 1930s. For a day or forever, you will feel like an Aviator from a bygone era. Come and visit the Aviator Flying Museum at Pratello, a resort airfield between Pisa and Florence where we have located our Southern base for vintage flight (Avio Superfice Peccioli Pratello PI09). Our museum is much more than a static airplane display. It provides you with the ability to fly in authentic historical aircraft, experiencing all of the sensations of a time gone by. Our Museum offers Vintage Discovery Flights and fully FAA Certified Flight Training in authentic aircraft from the golden age of flight, like the Boeing Stearman, the Aeronca Champ, the Beech Staggerwing and the Waco UIC.

While driving through the Tuscan countryside near Peccioli, we passed a small air strip and saw two beautifully restored vintage 1942 WWII plans outside of the hanger. On a whim, we drove in and met Jon, the owner and pilot of these amazing planes. By the next afternoon, I was soaring over the Tuscan countryside in an open air cockpit... More

Jon gave a good explanation about the STEARMAN and the other planes in the hangar. Flying over Tuscany with a classic plane, what pilots wouldn't like that?

I just happened by John and his fantastic aircraft, and boy was I excited I did! John is a wonderful and knowledgable pilot/engineer. The work done to restore the planes and their history was fantastic. Hammerheads and Loop-D-Loops... what a marvellous day! Thanks John... worth every euro!

A beautifully kept and presented aeroplane in beautiful Tuscany. Double heaven. I had the 20 minute taster flight and would love more of the plane and the place. Jon is highly professional and meticulous yet very informal and approachable. The aircraft are pristine. The short time I had at Pratello was highly memorable. Definitely recommended. John M
