Very fun to visit with the children, nice to learn about the history of chalabre. The animation adds a nice touch to the whole entourage. Very warm welcome I recommend to visit this castle

Visited today and although it stated it was open on both its leaflet and internet site, on arrival it was closed.

Lovely chateau but no original furniture. Ideal if you have kids as there are activities to do and plenty to keep them happy but not much for adults. Won't take long to go round.

We stayed in the village and waited to visit the chateau on a dull day. The chateau is a lovely building and in a beautiful location. The leaflets promised lots of activities and a knights jousting tournament. On the day we visited the staff who have the horses had all left for their normal lives, university etc and therefore no... Very expensive, only French speaking! The advertised tournament had been cancelled, as the horses and their 'Knights' had left as it was near to the end of the season. But no reduction in price was made. We were then left with two would be knights who were very disappointed. We could see this venue from where we were staying and... More

Unless you're going here to entertain children aged 6 and under, skip this. Even then go with only one adult because its expensive and the adult will be bored aside from accompanying the kid(s). This Sunday August 4 decided to avoid the the over priced Markets and go absorb some History hence Chateau Chalabre since it was not too far to go ! It was long enough to get there in such a hot day .The entrance fee for a couple and 2 kids cost €49 Euros ! And hardly any English speaking staff... More
