We went out of our way to visit while enroute to Krakow, which added an hour plus to the drive and it wasn't worth the detour. The exterior is imposing, although needing restoration (photos are nicer than the reality) and I'm sure the vast grounds are spectacular with bloom in certain seasons. Unless you take a guided tour, which appear to be only in Polish, you see only the sparsely furnished ground floor of what is essentially a hotel. The site is a big draw for wedding photos. I could see a Polish family going for a day outing, enjoying the grounds, perhaps a picnic, but don't consider this as a real attraction for tourists.

We went to moszna castle to get a view and going inside. In the parking we had to pay 37 zloty for the parking and only for knowing the entrance of the castle. As you see the importance is only to earn a lots of money without attractions. Inside the cashier informed us that the tours in the castle are only for polish people but I explained her that we only want to see the rooms of the castle so that we want to buy tickets and that tourists who are not from Poland are equal person and have equal rights to know the rooms of the castle. The tour was terrible. Everywhere you have to smell the food which they cook in the restaurant they have in the first floor. The rooms are not original. It could be the rooms from today. The tour is very short. About 40 minutes and you can only see 5 rooms on this time. The tour guide speaks about 8-10 minutes in each room ( stories which I can read without problem in the Internet ). The other rooms are occupied because they form part of their hotel . I think it's a extrem destruction to treat the castle like they do- the reason to keep it is only commercial and that's not what people are looking for when they go to visit it.

We struggled quite a lot to find as there are almost no indications in the street. Anyway from the outside the castle looks like out of a fairytale. It was around 6pm when we arrived and thought to stay for the night so we could visit the castle the next day. We cannot be more grateful to the receptionist who suggested to have a look at the rooms to choose them. Dirty carpets, dirty floors, stains on the walls, open electrical sockets, broken lights, missing parquet pieces, fifty years old TVs, cables all over the rooms, stink of humidity and stiff air except for the hotel entrance where you could clearly understand that the restaurant was deep frying something! We checked two Deluxe rooms and we ran away! It's a shame. This place deserves some investments.

The hotel is located in beautiful “Disney-style” 19th century castle surrounded by large park. Unfortunately the hotel itself is quite poor and does not live up to potential of this location. For purpose of clarity – there are two hotels in the area. One is Hotel Moszna Zamek located inside the castle. This is the one that we stayed for a two nights October. There is also other hotel called Moszna Apartments, located in horse stud just next to the castle. From what we hear and see Moszna Apartments are nicer and more customer friendly.
The Hotel Moszna Zamek gave us feeling of something between museum and hospital. In fact until recently there was hospital there for neurosis patients. The hospital however recently moved to new building located nearby.
The castle is great, but the owner – local authorities of Opolskie region – clearly lack the money and desire to invest to turn into a good hotel. We actually heard the story that European Union gave money for renovation, but the authorities failed to use it on time and the financing was pulled out.
Equipment in this hotel – including furniture, bathroom things, etc. is really dated – don’t expect any luxury. We stayed in Deluxe room but the only Deluxe thing about it was squash-court dimension.
Staff in the hotel does not really care. Particularly in spa, which to use you need to pay additionally.
On the plus side the breakfast was okay. There is also nice looking restaurant. However we had just drinks there so I can’t comment on food quality. The hotel also caters for wedding parties so – as I understand – for weekends is often closed for individual tourists.
So when you visit Moszna castle which I highly recommend, rather than staying in the castle itself, consider Moszna Apartments in the stud. We have not stayed there – but judging from outside look and our interesting talk with nice man who runs the apartments, it is much better choice.

I completely agreed with all of the positive reviews here about the exterior. It was probably one of the best i ever seen.
Receptionists were not polite and can't really speak English but it's still tolerable. What's nonsense for me is they will not allow you to explore the castle without joining Polish guided tour. But you can only join if you can speak Polish, they will still not allow you even when you're okay to join without understandinf anything.
Without the tour 1.5 hours is enough to explore everything (cafe and park).
You might have better experience though if you can speak Polish, but if not - think twice whether it worth the effort or not.

The exterior is really charming but the hotel part is extremely undermanaged. We had booking for two attached rooms (307 and 308) but when we saw them our only aim was to sleep somewhere else. Fortunately our friends found a nice hotel for us in Gogolin.

Looks like is coming straight from a fairy tale book, from the curb. Inside was not open for public, some movie shooting people, contractors and trades, there was some construction going on at the rear of the castle.
Staff…not top notch, the girls at the ticket office inside the castle didn’t even acknowledged me when I approached them with questions, the lady of the gate entrance didn’t speak o word of English, same from the girl from the parking barrier, no English, she was smoking bored when I drove away..…it felt like nobody wanted you there. The parking area could be neater and the same goes from the alley from the parking to the gate..but these are small technicalities, once you get out of the parking you wont have eyes for anything else, your eyes will get glued on the castle in front of you. That, indeed makes the whole drive, with detours due construction, all worth the effort. Clean and well-maintained, nice landscape and garden around the building, or at least the sides that matter. I found the surrounding a little commercial, but what is not these days. I was there early morning before large tour groups swamped the place and this was a good thing. I suggest you do the same!

The outside is one of the prettiest castles we've seen. Don't bother going inside or eating at the restaurant. The food was mediocre, and the inside needs updating. We are very glad we came though to see the outside!

The outside is incredible and worthy to see. However you can skip the visit for the inside (except perhaps the towers for the views) as there are almost no furniture and the rooms are now converted in modern style not very fancy.

I enjoyed the castle tour, but the effect was very much destroyed by utterly horrible modern 'paintings', mostly focusing on some living member of the family who owned the place. I mean, they are just laughably bad, they look utterly pathetic. The family portrait in the Lord's Room is particularly ridiculous - I mean, look at this thing!
And it's not like those are some family heirlooms displayed for their historical value - they are modern pieces, and apparently the castle is ordering more of them! The castle has just recovered from the barbaric treatment of the Soviets who painted over its decorated walls, only to now have these walls covered in that? Please, for the love of JPII, stop this barbarity!

The interior is not really wheelchair accessible, lots of narrow staircases and the like. Also, a guided group with its many people is not a good environment for a disabled person. However the castle grounds are perfectly accessible, the exterior of the castle is very nice and the park surrounding it is relaxing.

Как добраться до замка общественным транспортом от Ополе или Вроцлава?
Written April 24, 2018
I would say rather not : there are a lot of stairs and nothing to help wheelchair as far as I remember.
And for the tower tour the stairs to go up are so tight that there is not even enough space for a wheelchair.
Sorry for not bringing better news.
