It was really great to read the plaque on this interesting industrial locomotive. We had toured the Coleman history museum on a previous visit, and found it a bit dry. But this gem is interesting just to look at, and the info on the plaque REALLY makes its history come alive. The added bonus was it is set in a nice, shady park with a water splash area for kids, washrooms, and a short hiking trail, the "Miner's Path" which takes you to some really lovely falls. Something for everybody!

we had just stayed the night in Coleman and we were driving out of town and we saw a sign"WORLDS BIGGEST PIGGY BANK!" who would pass that up? It's made from an old mine locomotive and all the money goes to the town. only takes a few minutes but is in a beautiful park.

A very interesting concept. This attraction has been moved from it's original home beside the highway to the park.

Located in the park on the corner of 76 Street and 20 Avenue (Highway 3) to the west side of town. Nice attraction , nice park, nice trail.

This was just one of those things you have to see. It was pretty neat and the description was interesting. However as others stated there's no location for it on Google maps. We ended up asking a local and then had no problems finding it. If you're heading into coleman when you come down the hill you would look to your left and see a bridge. If you turn left there and go under the bridge you'll see the piggy bank right away. From in town if you're heading back to the highway instead of going uphill keep going straight under the bridge and again you'll see the piggy bank.

Well when you say Piggy Bank, you think Pig right, well this is a unique one for sure. It explains the reason behind it when you see it. Will not ruin the surprise when you get there but there is a nice walking path along in the woods also and a place for kids to play.

It’s a quick stop to hop out of car and see this bank. Kids were crawling all over it when I stopped in. Used to be on side of highway which I thought was better as probably more traffic for donations.

Quick stop. Not much there to see, but would be neat for kids to see and drop some coins in. At the same location as the Miner's Path. Check them both out. Also right beside a splash park. Picnic tables available for a sit down snack or visit.

For all asking where this is, if one googles Flumerfelt Park in Coleman it’ll take you right there. We quite enjoyed ourselves on the hike up to the falls. Was a great hike for our little family (kids all under age 8) and just a lovely outing overall.

Driving around Crowsnest Pass & area we stopped for lunch & there is a park near here with tables--so we stopped & looked
It's a train type thing with a coin slot.
Not much else to say--it's kind of cool.

As stated in reviews it does not show up on google maps. Can anybody be more specific about it's location?

If you're coming into the town, you'll go down a hill and at the bottom of that hill look to your left, there's a bridge there. If you turn left there and go under the bridge the piggy bank is straight ahead. If you're leaving town then instead of going up the hill you would continue straight under the bridge and there's the piggy bank. Hope this helps!
