Fabulous Fishing and Spectator Sunsets, Pakwash Provincial Park is located in the middle of Pakwash Lake on the East Shores. Beautiful Beaches, Northern, Walleye, Small mouth Bass, Perch. Fishing is the Best!

Small and quiet campground with large camp sites. Few amenities and few staff but clean. Designated swimming area far from camp sites and very rocky bottom near shore. Flies and mosquitoes were horrible. Fishing was good but boat launch was closed forcing our group of several boats to use launch at next door tourist camp who charged $20-$30 to use. And then the park does not allow the boats to be parked on the beach overnight at campsite forcing you to remove the boats daily and pay again at tourist camp for every time we wished to put boats in water!! CRAP!!

51 years ago this week I was introduced to Pakwash Provincial Park as a junior ranger (Dept. of L & F). It was, and still is, a piece of pristine wilderness. The fishing was great, and likely still is a hotspot for Pickerel. The sundowns were fascinating and on some nights, we were treated to a colourful display of Northern Lights. We have been back a few times over the years because it is a place to enjoy nature and tranquility. I would recommend this park to any avid campers and to those who like to fish and canoe. Pakwash will always be in my heart!
