Great way to enter the fort by elephant.

This was actually better than i thought.Lots to see and view.Well preserved, though i guess this will deteriorate soon as its getting dirty with people touching the exposed areas.

Another amazing place to visit, the ceilings are out of this world, fantastic craftmanship in this building. We got a jeep up to the fort as we think it's unfair on the elephants, they have gone from working all day to just mornings which is a start. The views from the fort are amazing, we loved our visit here

Like the kings of old you will feel like royalty entering this ancient palace. We toured this location and through views alone it was amazing, not to mention the incredible craftsmanship that the palace/fort contained.

WE came here as part of an organised tour, and got a ride up in jeeps, rather than using the elephants !!!!, although they do look nice, its still cruel.... There were the usual hawkers trying their best to sell us stuff...on the way up and in the courtyard.. The Amber Fort was built by ‘Raja Shri Maan Singh JI... More

This was an excellent day out, which provided a good insight to the history of India as well as having many points of interest in the Fort such as the mirrored ceiling . Would recommend using one of the local guides who will enhance your visit ( charge is £3 for the guide ). Some great views from the elevated... More

We had great views of this fort from our hotel!! We were offered an elephant ride to the fort but decided to stick with the car as we are concerned about animal welfare. This place is high on a hill and at one point we decided it was better to get out and walk due to the sheer volume of... More

We travelled up to the fort via jeep it was an exhilarating ride through steep narrow streets to the top of the hill. The Amber Fort is huge, there are elephant rides up to the fort if you are so inclined. This site is on three levels, as with most monuments in India there are many steps to climb so... More

I have been to India several times but this was one of my best experiences yet. Loved riding the elephant although it was scary since it seemed our seat was not attached well. We got a private tour guide before parking and it was worth it as he was able to explain everything to us. Such a beautiful palace and... More
