Went to see the house Sunday afternoon about 1.30pm and was told we couldnt see inside it as they had run out of visitor allotted spaces. This happened to us before. Very disappointed after a drive from Stourbridge. We walked around the gardens (but you...More
Lovely place to visit but quite compact compared to other properties. Didn't help that upstairs was closed, which i realise can happen. Also very dark in the house itself, to conserve delicate materials. It did seem extremely dark though which meant you could not appreciate...More
The parking area was of a good size. The staff were knowledgeable, friendly...a joy and a credit to the National Trust. A large portion of the garden was being rested and upstairs was out of bounds which was disappointing. The restaurant gave the impression that...More
I was especially interested in the stained glass in this house, but although it was a dark Autumn day most of the glass was covered by drawn curtains. The room guide said this was to protect the delicate textiles, which I appreciate but surely there...More
We have visited quite a lot of these houses & sorry to say very disappointed in our visit, even though the food in the cafe was fantastic & staff members very nice.

Great place with the wellie walk and lake. Great topiary garden and walled veg garden. Just make sure that they're open as lake walk isn't open currently. Walk to baddersy Clinton is nice too. Cafe isn't quick but none of the national trust places are!
This is the closest National Trust place to me. I've been many times including for many different events and it is my favourite NT place. The land around the property are quite big and you can go for a long walk including through orchards and...More
If you have National Trust membership then this is a nice and pleasant place to visit. It is small, and on the sunny day that we visited it was busy, so be aware, especially as the way the entrance is set up, which is slightly...More
Not the biggest house and not the most full of artefacts. The visit was made by the freindly staff and the feeling that the place was a home.
The gardens are lovely, with the yew and box topiary being an especial delight. We thought about...More

Hi, Dogs are not allowed in the garden but i think they are allowed in the woodland walk on a lead as there are sheep and deer in the wood. You can double check on line. The woodland walk is on the opposite side of the lane to the garden and house. There is a cafe near the car park. You can sit outside with your dog.
