Enjoy a great day out for all the family at Kirkley Hall Zoological Gardens with over three hundred species of animals including emus, wallabies, marmosets, pygmy goats, donkeys, meerkats, lemurs and many more.Visitors can meet the keepers and learn about the animals and their habitats. Recently returned after moving away from the area. Always a pleasure and enjoyable time spent :) beautiful surroundings and something for everyone including friends, families, couples, older and younger generation :)

yes the walk ways around the main areas and picnic area's are wide enough but indoor animals(reptiles, aquatics etc) and tea rooms not suitable.Hope this helps
I've read on other reviews that there is an outside picnic area, but is there anywhere indoors to eat your own food? I'm just asking incase we bring our own food and then it rains. I know there is a cafe, but are you allowed to eat your own food in there?

sorry, if it rains, suggest all you could do is go back to your car, and picnic in there
