The approach and exterior of the collection is unprepossessing. A friendly reception leads into a series of rooms, some of which contain displays of weapons, models and uniforms, whilst others contain the military vehicles. There are a substantial number of exhibits for such an out-of-the-way venue, well-maintained. This is not a brilliant place for youngsters. All the exhibits display 'Do... More

I spent 3 hours today looking over this extensive collection of military vehicles. They also have amazingly crafted models of planes, ships, vehicles and battle scenes. The collection weaponry and uniforms are also very interesting. On entering the collection the first thing you see is a history of the camp and a model of the area during the second world... More

Visited today and only had about 80 minutes, but worth it, despite £11 entry. The collections are very good indeed, the condition of many equipments excellent. Well worth a return visit. There is also info on pre-world wars militia, civil matters, a good shop, but the cafe was closed (prob ok).

An interesting collection of artefacts, weapons, vehicles and models. All were very well looked after and impressive to look at. The boards provide a lot of information about each item. Unfortunately we felt that the museum didn't make enough of the history of the location. There were no interactive displays and nothing really to entertain children. We visited out of... More

An excellent little museum. A lot of thought has gone into presenting the collection. A great selection of military equipment with the tanks taking pride of place. Not our first visit nor will it be our last.

Admission is a little on the high side, signs to get to the museum could be improved. A nice collection of military vehicles and weapons. Probably best to visit when they are having an event.

The best kept exhibition of ALL things related to the UK army, with a few "captured" foreign vehicles, that l have ever seen..in immaculate working order. Plus an immense number of photographs, documents, models and uniforms. Approaching the ticket desk gives no indication of the quantity of stuff on display. The admission price may seem a little steep at first... More

We had a great morning here, all sorts of military items and models displayed, if you book in advance you can have a ride in a tank.

Can't praise this place enough. We visited on a dreary Sunday afternoon after an hour drive from where we were staying for the weekend. Hoped it wasn't a wasted journey and we weren't disappointed. So much work put into a great museum. My eldest is 21 and studying history at uni so it was great for him, my youngest is... More
