Love this pub. No music just a quiet place to have a chat. Really friendly people who are not all locals. Made to feel very welcome. They have several real ales including their own brews and guest ales. Dog friendly. They had a beer belly...More

Friendly staff and lovley Pub. If you are ever near to Consett have a beer in the grey horse! Or when you go the coast-to-coast cycle rout, have a break at the grey horse.

they brew their own beers and they are superb, setting is a traditional pub, so all in it is the place to visit in Consett, you may not leave

Always an excellent pint. Warm cosy pub that brews on the premises. Friendly staff. Good live entertainment. A real must for visitors and locals.
