Had a few days on a narrow boat with this company. Well presented boats, thorough tuition and well organised. Looking forward to another trip on this lovely canal.

We hired a 67ft Narrowboat for week (Tuesday to Tuesday). We had a 6 berth Bond Class boat called Askrigg for the four of us as we wanted a bit of extra space. The boat comes with everything you need for your trip and was...More

We did this last year and headed towards Llangollen, this time we headed for Chirk which was supposed to be a prettier route. I would say that it isn't as pretty but it's a wider stretch of canal so far less stressful so I would...More

We hired a day boat to try it out before committing ourselves to a full holiday on a narrowboat & cannot fault the experience we had with Anglo Welsh at Trevor. As first timers we were very nervous, especially faced with going over that 'stream...More

Read your review and found it very interesting. Me and my family will be going on a narrowboat canal trip during the first week of July 2015 for the first time. We will be aboard a 70 foot long narrowboat and will be starting our trip in Wednesday afternoon and back to Trevor base on Sunday early morning (so it's 4 nights). Do you think that if I start from Trevor towards the end of Llangollen and than back to Trevor and onwards to Ellesmere and back to base is doable for a first-timer. Or will it be more safe to go from Trevor to Ellesmere and back to base? I'm thinking of doing about 4 to 5 hours boating every day (1st day: 3 hrs; 2nd day: 5 hrs; 3rd day: 5 hrs; 4th day: 4 hrs; Last day: 1 hour). We would like to do a bit of sight seeing in Chirk and Ellesmere. What is your opinion and are there any other places we should stop at for a few hours sightseeing or walk?
