It's a natural reservation situated by the estuary of the Irminio river, between the localities Marina di Ragusa and Donnalucata; where the river flows into the sea. The river crosses the Province of Ragusa fron North to South; in fact it rises under the Mount...More

This is a small but beautiful wildlife reserve, with access to a river and beach. It is a haven for migrating birds at the appropriate times of year but a wonderful, peaceful place for a walk at any time. There are two elevated bird hides....More

The reserve area is very nice to walk through and the beach is good. But, overflowing rubbish bins were not nice. Also the lack of any written information. Why are beer bottles on the beach not cleared up? Typical Sicilian, Im afraid.

We went to this reserve with the kids a few years back and enjoyed the fish in the creek and the little beach a bit further on. Bring water though as it is hot and they do not sell any food or drinks on site
