We visited the Villa whilst staying in Pisa. It is easy to get there by train to Viareggio and then take the 32 bus to Torre del Lago. The villa is beside a peaceful lake setting where you can sit and have a coffee or...More

Visited in August 2015. Overall I am not a Puccini fan but do believe he produced some lovely pieces of work. We visited Puccini’s villa as part of an excursion before travelling on to Pisa. This part of the excursion involved visiting Puccini’s villa followed...More

The original 'torre de lago' - the tower on the lake - was developed into a home by the composer and is still much as it was when he died. See the piano on which he worked, the notes he wrote on his deathbed, and...More

We really enjoyed this but it's only the ground floor that's open and it all feels a bit run down. Having said that some of the artefacts on display were fascinating and if you're an opera buff a visit is a must.

Very nicely restaurated, and gathered a lot of Puccini belongings together. It is a very good way to have an insight picture about the life of this great composer.

This is a total delight. The audio tour is very good and the rooms are so atmospheric and you can just imagine Puccini sat at his piano composing his great operas. I am so so glad that I visited the house and do hope that...More

You don't have to be a Puccini fan to appreciate the care that went into this painstaking restoration. The excellent audio guide offers one a sense of the place's history and a feel for Puccini's life -- his dreams and disappointments. Be warned that admittance...More

So much Puccini memorabilia. It takes a while to absorb it. A great tribute to one of the world's greatest composers. It also shows how much his life interacted with other great musicians of his time. The Maestro, his wife, son and daughter-in-law, and now...More

We travelled to Torre del Lago by train, then walked for 20 minutes or so through the pretty suburbs to get to the lake, which in itself is inexpressibly dreamy and beautiful. It is easy to see why Puccini liked it. The house lets in...More

Well - if you love Puccini then you really do have to visit the home of the maestro. This is a wonderfully atmospheric 'family home' with little altered since the maestro's death. The museum provides you with an audio guide included in the ticket price...More
