You won't see that much of the monastery itself but you will be able to visit a church and mainly a crypt that is definitely worth the visit. You have to pay a small fee for the visit, they give you a key and you can do it yourself. If you want to stay with the free option, the building... More

It's a spiritual stay, with an expectation of basic room and services considering it's a hotel monastery, I was truly impressed. The room has a tough of details, elegance and cleanses. The old classic closets, windows with a view of the walls built in 11th century, spacious bathroom, soft towel, all touch our heart at the bottom. The hall is... More

Located in beautiful place, surroundings are worth to take the trip. It costs 3 euros to enter the building. If you happen to be there at the time of services you can enter the church for free. On Sunday vispers (19:00) is nice experience, monks sing beautifully.

Beautiful monastery, the grounds and views are spectacular. Enjoyed very much the hotel, the staff was friendly. Specially we were very blessed to have "Nicolae" be our waitress during dinner, and not only the food was incredible, but also his service. We enjoyed his conversation, professionalism, friendlines. Again, the food was delicious. The breakfast was great also and excelent service.... More

Very peaceful place, obviously we were there during the week and beginning of June, and we could appreciate the atmosphere. Visit the crypt and admire the columns and the door at the back.

Not only the location up there guarantees the fresh and pure air but you may well get a great view of a dam (so called the sea). Just in case you want to do the same as the monks of the monastery, there is a cute hotel. Bring some good binoculars with good lenses to watch the details of the... More

This monasterio is very popular, a stop for many tour buses. But we felt disappointed, to much of mass market tourist industry (we were there during Easter, maybe this is the high season). If you visit Leyre, don´t miss the crypt. Ig you only have time for one monasterio in Navarra, go for Oliva.

This was an optional tour on our trip, it was worth it. Historical and religious place. Working abbey of Benedictian Friars. This is part of the road of Santigo, leading to Santiago de Compostela. Solemn and peacefull atmosphere.

A beautiful place and great food for a good price. We had a very friendly waitress. The room was quite hot and there was no air conditioning. The shower was a bit awkward but there was lots of hot water. We'd recommend it.

Architecture great. Get there for 7pm in summer and you can hear the monks chanting their Gregorian chants.
