We drove here from Javier but were not able to be here for any of the services so, basically, we looked round a small empty crypt and a fairly bare church which was nice and very peaceful, but not anything particularly special. I think this...More

went to vespers at 0730. It meant an early morning start to get their from Pamplona but well worth it to see Benedictine chanting 'live'. A great setting too

Benedictines are known as the keepers of great places and this is one of those. A XII century monastery where you can follow the peace of the monks and enjoy the silence in a marvelous surrounding. We attended vespers with 17 monks singing Gregorian. A...More

A lovely old building, still a working monastery with over 15 Benedictine monks in residence. Beautifully maintained with lovely grounds and great views of the surrounding hills. The monks chanting was beautiful.

The scenery surrounding the hotel is beautiful and if you walk a short way up the hillside at the rear of the Monastery you get a wonderful view of the old building and the lake beyond. We did it early morning and the lighting was...More

Lovely scenery, ancient architecture, and beautiful church. The interior you see is mostly on the bottom foundation. This is almost in France and on a branch of the Way of Saint James. Views include the Yesa dam and the Pyrenees.

You won't see that much of the monastery itself but you will be able to visit a church and mainly a crypt that is definitely worth the visit. You have to pay a small fee for the visit, they give you a key and you...More

It's a spiritual stay, with an expectation of basic room and services considering it's a hotel monastery, I was truly impressed. The room has a tough of details, elegance and cleanses. The old classic closets, windows with a view of the walls built in 11th...More
